Analytics
What every number and chart in the Creator Hub's analytics means, what it counts and over which period.
On this page
The Creator Hub shows how players find and play your games in two places: the Analytics page, with totals across all your games, and the Analytics tab on each game's page. The dashboard repeats the headline numbers. This page explains what each one counts.
All numbers come from real play sessions and real sales. Each point in a chart is one day, and today counts as a day.
How visits are counted#
NEO counts visits in two ways, and you'll see both.
- All-time visits (the "all time" total, and Visits on a game's card, its Overview tab and its page) count at most one visit per player per game per hour, however often they leave and rejoin.
- Daily visits (the Visits charts and Visits · 7 days) count server joins per day: a player who joins two different servers of your game on the same day counts twice.
Both include you and your testers.
The Analytics page#
Open Analytics from the Creator Hub's sidebar.
Numbers#
| Number | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Visits · 7 days | Daily visits to all your games over the last 7 days (today and the 6 days before). Under it: all-time visits across your games. |
| Playing now | Players in any of your games right now. |
| Favorites | How many times players have favorited your games, in total. |
Charts#
| Chart | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Visits, all games | Daily visits to all your games, for each of the last 30 days. |
| Revenue, all games | What you earned each day for the last 30 days, in Credits: your share of each sale of your passes, products and avatar items, not the full price. |
By game#
A row for each game with Playing, Visits (all time) and Favorites. Details opens that game's Analytics tab.
A game's Analytics tab#
Open a game from Creations with Manage, then choose the Analytics tab. Pick the period at the top right: 7 days, 30 days or 90 days.
Numbers#
| Number | What it counts | Period |
|---|---|---|
| Playing now | Players in the game right now. | Now |
| Avg. session | The average time from joining a server to leaving it, in minutes. For players still in, it counts up to their last check-in. | The chosen period |
| Day-1 retention | Of the players whose first day in your game falls in the period (not counting today), the percentage who came back the next day. | The chosen period |
| Likes | Thumbs up, with thumbs down as dislikes under it. Only players who have played can vote. | All time |
Charts#
| Chart | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Visits | Daily visits (server joins) for each day of the period. |
| Unique players | How many different players joined on each day. A player who joins three times in a day counts once. |
| Revenue | What you earned each day from this game: your share of sales of its passes and products, plus any share the game earned on avatar items bought in it. |
Top sellers#
Up to 10 of the game's passes and products, ordered by number of sales, with Sales and Revenue (what you earned from each, in Credits). These totals cover each item's whole life, not just the chosen period.
The dashboard#
The Dashboard shows the same overall numbers as the Analytics page, plus:
| Number | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Games | How many games you have, with how many are public. |
| Sales · 7 days | How many of your passes, products and avatar items sold in the last 7 days. Under it: what you earned from sales over the last 7 days. |
| Earnings | Your available earned Credits, with pending Credits under it. See Monetization. |
Its Visits and Revenue charts are the same 30-day charts as on the Analytics page. Free items aren't counted as sales.
Reading the numbers#
- Revenue is your share. Every revenue figure is what you earned, after the split, not what players paid. Pending and available earnings are both included, so revenue appears the day of the sale.
- Retention needs a day. A player who first joined today isn't in the retention number until tomorrow, and a period with no new players shows 0%.
- Ratings move slowly. Likes and dislikes are all-time, so they don't change with the period you pick.
